The Mayor of Aylesbury, Cllr Denise Summers, opened the event which was followed by a family open day.
More than 50 visitors, including sponsors, families and CHAT president, Raj Khan, were present to enjoy the afternoon’s attractions.
Donations still came in on the day and £700 was raised, along with £300 from Cllr Ray Ghent’s parachute jump earlier in the year.
CHAT’s then Head of Fundraising, Francesca Flaxton, said “The
Wing unit used to have a plain patch of uneven lawn at the back.
Now it has been transformed into a wonderful environment that
the children can benefit from.”
“We’re really pleased it is finally open and the children can enjoy the mobiles, wind chimes and fragrant garden.”
Furniture is still needed to complete the garden, along with soft play mats and children’s gardening tools. Donations are still needed for improvement works to the front area and entrance.
