You can help!
CHAT is an independent registered charity dedicated to improving local children’s therapy services. CHAT raises money to pay for additional toys, specialist equipment, resources and new projects that will enhance the services offered by all the departments based at the Sue Nicholls Centre and at the adjacent ‘Wing’ unit, a residential care centre for children with special needs.
CHAT is a very small charity, with only two part time staff and we need as much help as we can get from volunteers like you to ensure we are as cost effective as possible and that we provide everything we can to help local children who need our therapy services.
There are lots of ways you could help and it doesn’t mean giving up a lot of time:
- Become a volunteer – even half an hour will help us
- Become a Friend of CHAT
- Donate goods to CHAT
- Make a financial donation to CHAT
- Persuade your employer/club/community organisation to support CHAT.
You may have expertise that could be valuable to
us or have your own ideas about how you could
help us. Please chat to CHAT! See our contact
details by clicking on the CONTACTS button.

Work
was completed in early September 2005 on building of a multi
sensory room in the ‘Wing’ children’s respite care unit, adjacent
to the Sue Nicholls Centre. £10,000 was kindly donated by C.Brewers
& Sons, suppliers of decorating materials and a further
£3,000 was donated by the Buckinghamshire Masonic Centenary
Fund. Aylesbury Town Council also gave the project £1,000.
CHAT always welcomes donations of good quality second hand toys, games, puzzles, children’s videos and books. Some of the donated items are used by therapists in the Sue Nicholls Centre or in the Wing unit and the rest are sold to raise money for CHAT.
CHAT also collects used stamps and inkjet cartridges for recycling. We receive a donation for all items that can be reused.
